This is a shot I took while on set of our Award Winning Sci-Fi Short “The Pinnacle”.
If you haven’t yet seen it, here is the link to the short film.
Initially I wrote some music and then instantly saw imagery as a way to visually tell a story. I called my friend Ryan, who I had been wanting to work with since I moved out to LA in 2020. Finally I felt like we could make something together. And after some discussions and probing on Ryan’s part, we set a date to film our short story. You can read more of the back story here.
I want to take this time to update you on what we (Ryan and I) have been working on. I can’t say a whole lot except we are currently developing a story. Prior to this, we had been meeting every week, for over a year now, to develop the rest of The Pinnacle story. That has been placed on pause… for now.
Its been such a journey for me personally.
Imma be honest here, I didn’t realize how deep my passion for storytelling was. Working on this story has made me really see all of my gifts and talents come together in a way that has surprised me.
Since filming The Pinnacle, I’ve dreamt of being back on set and working with other artist to create a world where people can escape to. Maybe find some resolve or healing. Film is a powerful medium. Its one I hold very dear to my heart. And the Sci-Fi genre even more so. I grew up watching so many Sci-Fi films. I just recently had a chat with my brother and we were reminiscing of the old days back in North Philly watching so many of our favorites.
So thats my update and I can’t go deep into it but know that I am excited and can’t wait to give you here a proper update.
This piece is something I wrote recently. It reminded me of The Pinnacle.
Thank you so much for being here and for subscribing to this newsletter.
Until next time,
Isa
