Happy Friday morning!
Welcome to the latest TerraNova newsletter.
I encourage you to take some time out today to listen to this track. This track in particular was a previous paid release. I am unlocking it cause I thought it was a great one for this month.
Thank you for being here for this installment of the newsletter.
This month’s track was probably my hardest to create. I spent a lot of time mixing it. I went ahead and had spent some time sending it to some friends and getting feedback from what they heard and making the appropriate adjustments.
The photo was taken on a trip I took back in 2019 to Latvia. A dear friend pulled over on the side of the road and we walked over to see a property and stumbled upon this church.
I remember thinking a lot went on in here.
Below is a poem by Wendall Berry. I’ve been reading his book of poems called Leavings lately. I wanted to share it here.
A Letter(to my brother) by Wendall Berry
Dear John, You said, "Treat your worst enemies as if they could become your best friends." You were not the first to perpetrate such an outrage, but you were right. Try as we might, we cannot unspring that trap. We can either befriend our enemies or we can die with them, in the absolute triumph of the absolute horror constructed by us to save us from them. Tough, but "All right," our Mary said, "we'll be nice to the sons of bitches."
If you offer an olive branch to someone, you say or do something in order to show that you want to end a disagreement or quarrel. Maybe we can seek to end a disagreement or quarrel this week.
Much love and thank you for being here. And as always be sure to leave me a comment below ;)!
